A Dangerous Time

Ash Wednesday

A few weeks ago Taylor, Jason, Johanna, and I had a conversatis the day when the church turns inward, even if only for a moment or two to confess, repent, and acknowledge that while Heaven may be, Death definitely is for real.

Our texts were Joel 2:-2, 12-17; Psalm 51; 2 Corinthians 5:20b-6:10; and Matthew6:1-6

We considered:

• What is the purpose of Ash Wednesday?

• How important are the words we use in worship?

• Is the Gospel about reconciliation, rectification, or both?
